Trong cuộc triển lãm kỷ niệm 100 năm ngày phụ nữ
tham gia bầu cử, Trung tâm Lưu trữ Quốc gia đã chỉnh sửa làm mở tấm hình cuộc
biểu tình Women March năm 2017 - là cuộc biểu tình phản đối Trump hơn 500 nghìn
người tham dự (tấm thứ 2 bên phải là ảnh gốc của Getty Images). Một poster ghi
“God Hates Trump”, thì chữ “Trump” bị xoá đi. Tương tự, một poster khác ghi
“Trump & GOP — Hands Off Women”, thì chữ “Trump” bị làm mờ đi.
Khi phóng viên hỏi viên chức của Trung tâm Lưu trữ
Quốc gia có thể dẫn chứng các cuộc trưng bày trước đây cũng bị chỉnh sửa, làm mờ
như lần này, thì họ KHÔNG TRẢ LỜI.
Tại sao họ phải làm như vậy? Tại sao họ lại muốn xoá
mờ lịch sử?
Chỉnh sửa hình ảnh để làm thỏa mãn cái tôi khổng lồ
của lãnh đạo chỉ tồn tại trong xứ độc tài toàn trị.
Điểm dễ nhận của bọn độc tài là chúng rất căm ghét
và sợ người dân giễu cợt & phản đối, vì thế bọn chúng luôn tìm mọi cách để
bịt miệng bất đồng chính kiến và bóp nát quyền tự do ngôn luận.
Historian Douglas Brinkley: “There's no reason for
the National Archives to ever digitally alter a historic photograph... To
confuse the public is reprehensible...A lot of history is messy”
“A placard that proclaims “God Hates Trump” has
“Trump” blotted out so that it reads “God Hates.” A sign that reads “Trump
& GOP — Hands Off Women” has the word Trump blurred out.“
“The Archives has always been self-conscious about
its responsibility to educate about source material, and in this case they
could have said, or should have said, 'We edited this image in the following
way for the following reasons,' " she said. "If you don't have
transparency and integrity in government documents, democracy doesn't
function."
