Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il is a great man who has devoted his everything to the people, said Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, president of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, who visited the DPRK.

The successes made by the DPRK prove the validity of the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il, she noted, and went on:

Gifts displayed at the International Friendship Exhibition House clearly show how boundlessly the world people revere him.

Kim Jong Il made the gifts he received from party and state leaders and prominent figures of many countries serve as treasures of the people and that is why the Korean people hold him in high esteem as a distinguished leader and follow him.

I am confident that the Korean people rallied close around Kim Jong Il will achieve bigger prosperity in the future.

The friendly relations between Vietnam and the DPRK provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung have been carried forward and developed by General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and Kim Jong Il, she noted, expressing belief that the traditional friendly and cooperative ties between the peoples of the two countries would grow stronger.

Quan hệ hữu nghị giữa Việt Nam và Triều Tiên khởi nguồn từ chủ tịch hồ Chí Minh và chủ tịch Kim Il sung đã được giữ gìn và phát huy bởi Kim Jong Il, bà nêu rõ, cho thấy niềm tin rằng quan hệ hữu nghị và hợp tác truyền thống giữa hai nước sẽ vững mạnh.
